Happy Friday, folks!
Word is starting to trickle out regarding Gladiator II, and I hear it’s the real deal — that Ridley Scott is a shoo-in for an Oscar nomination, and both Paul Mescal and Denzel Washington are serious threats to score acting nods. Apparently, I won’t see the film until its All Media screening, so you’ll just have to trust my spies until then.
Meanwhile, I didn’t draft Gladiator II in Vulture’s Fantasy Movie Game as the movie was too damn expensive, but good luck to all who play and had the stones to draft Paramount’s sequel. I’ve still got a killer lineup this year featuring a bunch of top Oscar contenders…
I did play the Squid Game VR game at Sandbox VR the other night, and it was amazing. Seriously, it was totally worth the money — about $60 for a 45-minute, physically intense experience that really made me feel like a contestant on the hit Netflix series. It’s completely unique… just be prepared to sweat and look a little silly doing it.
