Which Old IP Will Steven Spielberg Dust Off Next Following 'Indy 5,' 'Twisters,' and 'Jurassic World 4'?

Happy Tuesday, folks! Much happier than Monday, that’s for sure… and I hope everyone’s okay after yesterday’s earthquake, which measured 4.4 on the Richter scale.
I watched a handful of movies this past weekend — Rez Ball, Skincare, and the Matt Damon-Casey Affleck caper The Instigators, which was better than I was expecting — and last night, I saw Alien: Romulus, so look for a review of that film in tomorrow night’s newsletter.
Tonight, I’m off to see Coralie Fargeat’s body horror flick The Substance. I was so impressed with Fargeat’s 2017 debut, Revenge, that she’s one of just two directors whose follow-up I would’ve invested my own money in… if I had any money to invest, of course. The other was Julia Ducournau, whose sophomore feature Titane won the Palme d’Or following her remarkable 2016 debut Raw.
In tonight’s newsletter, you’ll read about the next Steven Spielberg-branded IP that the prolific producer may want to consider mining, should he continue with his current strategy of replaying the hits (i.e. Twisters).
