'Spider-Man 4' Finds Director, But Sony May Move Next 'Spider-Verse' Movie to 2027 to Make Room
'Shang-Chi' filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton will direct Tom Holland and Zendaya in the latest sequel from Sony and Marvel.
Happy Monday night, everyone! How about that Patriots upset yesterday, huh? Week 1 in the NFL is always a crapshoot, but New England fans have to be at least a little excited after the Pats beat the Bengals, who have far more talent on paper.
Anyway, that’s enough sports talk — I know my audience.
Up here at TIFF today, I saw Justin Kurzel’s terrorism thriller The Order starring Jude Law, followed by Edward Berger’s drama Conclave starring Ralph Fiennes.
When I emerged from the latter screening, I saw that news broke about the director of Spider-Man 4, so that’s tonight’s top story — and only story, as I have to run out to the first TIFF screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis.
