Exclusive: 'Wild Hogs 2' in the Works at Disney With Original Cast Poised to Return
Plus, Angelina Jolie returns to Paris, Frank Marshall lines up another music documentary, and Seth Rogen fears he's ruining movies in the first look at Apple's 'The Studio.'
Happy Tuesday, folks!
Before we begin today, I just want to thank Imprint PR founders Nicole Perna and Melissa Raubvogel for showing their true (i.e. horrible) colors today. I’ll be showing my own real soon, don’t you worry…
Last night, I tried watching the Dave Bautista vehicle The Killer’s Game but I wasn’t in the mood for a lobotomy so I turned it off in favor of Seinfeld. Sue me.
In cool release date news, David Fincher’s classic thriller Se7en is returning to theaters — IMAX theaters, specifically — on Jan. 3, 2025, in celebration of the film’s 30th anniversary (which isn’t until September, but whatever).
Meanwhile, if you weren’t able to catch Clint Eastwood’s middling courtroom drama Juror #2 in theaters, you’ll be able to stream it on Max starting Dec. 20. WB is apparently holding FYC screenings for Juror #2 after Guillermo del Toro raved about it, but I think they’ll find that the last-minute push won’t matter, as the movie simply isn’t good enough to have any impact at this point in the season. By the way, find me a movie Guillermo didn’t rave about, ahem…
Tonight you’ll read about a sequel to Wild Hogs that’s in development at Disney, plus you’ll get my review of Wicked (Part One).
There are also items about Angelina Jolie’s new French film (yawn!), Frank Marshall’s latest music documentary, Aaron Sorkin’s new project at Warners, and Jason Segel’s remake of one of my favorite foreign-language films on Netflix. I also weigh in with my thoughts on the first teaser for Seth Rogen’s new Apple TV+ series The Studio.
